Networking isn’t just about computer these days. Networking can be relationship building among people with similiar interests and goals. It can involve getting to know people and developing a list of connections. Networking can help you succeed in you professioal career also usually isn’t one sided or a one time event. Networking is the key strategy in the career management process, as your network grows it becomes interchangable and then you become a resource for other. Once you are a resource to others it makes it easier and a little more comfortable to ask others questions. There are a few reason why you should network, one is to obtain information about specific thing that you could have access to from websites and general visits. You could also find out what skill, abilities that are needed for the job or field of interest that you are targeting. some other reason to network is to find out about management styles and culture to see if you will fit in with you field of interest. You can also get referrals from other people and possibly find organizations that are hiring. It really easy to create a network, the first thing you should do is strengthen your contact base which is basically reconnecting with old friends and colleagues. you should probably find professionals in the career of choice or related fields. Attendin seminars, conferences, luncheons and talks. you would really be surprised how many options there are a college campuses. Please keep in mind that networking is about being genuine, authentic, building relationships and once you have all of those then you can be a resource for others while there helping you. You should try to visit as many group as possible that interest you, this way you can take not of the tone of the meeting and attitude of the group especially if its a group of professionals.

Why do people find it difficult to work from home? People fail to understand that working is not just about earning money or spending time in the office. It is also about job satisfaction. When you work at home, and when you take care of kids, cook meals, and also do household chores, you may end up feeling unsatisfied and like you are not keeping up with your professional responsibilities.

What is more, your family members may not value your work and may not treat you as if you have indeed done anything substantial. These are small things, but can lead to a lot of heartache and irritation if not tackled properly.

One thing you can do is log onto the internet to get free software applications that will help schedule your day properly. Make it a point to plan your day well in advance. You will find it difficult to establish your own office space immediately. However, you certainly can develop the habit of working undisturbed for many hours despite staying at home by adopting gradual practices.

Whether you like it or not, you will be working at home and distractions and disturbances cannot be avoided. Rather than trying to avoid them, why don’t you try to control them? You can set timers that will remind you to take a break from your work and have conservations with your spouse or kids on a regular basis.

In the same way, you should have a timer that will instruct you to shut down the computer and spend time with your family members. One disadvantage of working at home is that you may not stop working at all. In the long run, such an approach can be very harmful for your family life. Make it a point to switch off once office hours have ended.

There are various types of jobs in computer networking. The first type is the network administrator. They are usually responsible for maintenance of the network and troubleshooting problems. They also perform network security throughout the entire local area network. The duties encompass just about every aspect of the network including routers, firewalls, switches and hubs. They are responsible for evaluating and implementing third-party tools throughout company’s network. They must also perform backups and insure the safety of company data. The network administrator is often called the unsung hero as they are there unappreciated while computer systems are working, but often yelled at when they are not.

The second most popular, of the computer networking jobs, is the network engineer. There is not alot of difference between the engineer and the administrator. Smaller companies may have the administrator perform the tasks of an engineer to save money. In the case where there are two separate positions, the engineer’s primary focus is on infrastructure and security. They will also be responsible for hardware upgrades and evaluating vendor products.

Another position in computer networking is a network technician, which is an entry-level position. They will usually start out assisting the network administrator with various duties such as set up and troubleshooting. The also swap out and repair damaged hardware and software products. The network technician is sometimes called upon to travel to remote sites in order to do upgrades and direct support. This is the more fascinating job of computer networking since the technician handles various tasks and is constantly learning.

Finally, there is the manager position. Companies that have a large computer networking department, will usually have a manager. They oversee and direct the daily activities of the network administrator, the engineers and the technicians. This is a senior-level position that may take years to achieve.
